Consistent Quality
Success in the CFA show ring is not easily accomplished and although on the surface it may seem extraneous, it really does represent achievement of multi-dimensional magnitude for a breeder. No one can operate in a vacuum. We must constantly strive for perfection and ask for feedback. If we are honest with ourselves and truly want to achieve greatness, we must stay ever vigilant and be our own harshest critics. In order to stay on track and ensure that our programs continue to produce quality representatives of our breed we must constantly judge, assess and screen both for health and temperament issues as well as appearance. The ultimate report card is, of course, the overall vigor of our cats and how our cats are received in the show ring... We are very proud of our kids for their unprecedented successes in such a relatively short time. Emau has indeed become synonymous with consistent quality as of 2013, we have four of the five all time highest scoring Kittens, seven of fifteen highest scoring cats in championship, and three of five highest scoring cats in premiership.

Our Distinguished Merit Cats
There have been only thirty three Egyptian Mau females, four males to earn the coveted DM title under pre-2020 requirements, and two under new requirements . We own or have bred twenty two of the thirty three females and three of the six males and are inordinately proud of the consistent quality they produce. We have bred the highest grand producing female in the history of the breed and most of our precious stars are multi generation DM's including an incredible seventh generation DM. A DM of any sort is the thrill of a life time... a multi-generational DM is truly a testament to the quality of our wonderful girls. We are blessed to have had the joy of sharing our lives with such special special girls and three extra special boys two of which are the only multi-generational Male DMs....
GC Emau's Kestrel, DM - 25 qualifying offspring including two National winners, three National Breed Winners, two one show grands, a DM and eight Regional winners! Kestrel is the 2nd highest grand producing DM in the history of the breed.

GC BW Emau's Kyrie, DM - 7 qualifying Offspring. Kyrie is a second generation DM and she earned her title on a very special day when not one but TWO Egyptian Mau females DMed... Both girls were the first GC Females to earn that honor.
GC BW RW Emau's Mau Pounce For The Ounce, DM - 15 qualifying offspring including two National Winners, three of the top fifteen all-time highest scoring Egyptian Maus in championship and the highest scoring Egyptian Mau kitten ever, two National Winners, three National Breed Winners, two National Best of Breed Winners, two DMs and five regional winners. Pounce is the mother of the first Emau National Winner, GC BW NW Emau's Drop-Of-Golden Sun, DM and the highest scoring Egyptian Mau kitten ever GC NW Emau's Dancin Inthe Dark Of Mautrix. She DMed the same season that her smoke daughter became the highest scoring smoke Egyptian Mau in CFA history and led wire to wire as National Breed Winner. Pounce is also one of only two cats at the time (Her daughter became the third) to have produced five grands out of their first two litters. her first litter had two grands and her second litter all four kittens earned either their GC or DM title! Pounce is the highest grand producing female Egyptian Mau DM and nearly every kitten she produced either DMed or granded...
GC RW Emau's Cirque De Soleil, DM - 5 qualifying offspring and a 3rd generation DM. Purr is a joy and wonder and the latest in a long line of treasures... She is the granddaughter of our first DM, Khepri and the daughter of our one and only Comet....- so many thanks to Jill for helping Purr earn the title she so richly deserved!
GC Emau's Mausaic, DM - 6 qualifying offspring and a second generation DM... Spirit was our very first grand and is Khepri's FOURTH DM daughter. She DMed when her daughter, Emau's Grand Illusion, DM "DMed" on a very special day in May 2006 and has two DM daughters - second only to her mother, Khepri in producing DMs and tied with half sisters Pounce and Comet!

CH GP Emau's La Femme Nikiduh Of Emauge, DM - 5 qualifying Offspring. The fifth third generation DM. Many thanks to Pat and Tim for helping Nikita earn her title and for loving her so well! Nikita also became the oldest Mau to earn the title of grand when at 10 and half years she became a Grand Premier! A true testament to her wonderful personality!
GC BW NW Emau's Drop-Of-Golden Sun, DM - 8 qualifying offspring. A third generation DM with 5 qualifying Offspring from her first two litters including our first ever one show Grand Champion, two National Best of Breeds, and two second generation National winning Egyptian Maus. In the same year that Sunny became the first Egyptian Mau to earn every title possible to a championship cat her son became a National Kitten winner as well as our best of breed. 6 weeks after she retired from her breeding career, Sunny went on to become the only first and so far only Egyptian Mau to earn every title available to a cat in the showring when she added the GP title.
CH Emau's Moonshadow Of Emauge, DM - 5 qualifying offspring and a third generation DM as well as the fourth ever smoke DM. Moonshadow is the second DM daughter of the lovely Comet, Emau's El Shahab, DM and a granddaughter of our very special Khepri. Many thanks again to Pat and Tim for loving her so well, she is their second DM.

GC Emau's Uptown Girl, DM - 6 qualifying off spring, Dior is a sixth generation DM. Her matchups with Ru produced untold beauty, truly breathtaking cats. Like Ru, the success of her offsoring were greatly impacted by Covid shutdowns, but the quality could not be denied u's accomplishment is all the more impressive is that he produced during the COVID era where all showing was stopped. GC RW Emau's Covergirl, DM - 5 qualifying offspring. Jewel is a fifth generation DM and a full sister to GC BW NW Emau's Touch The Sun, DM. Jewel produced quality consistently and her sons helped programs around the world.

Achieving a National win is no easy feat. It takes luck, perseverance, resources and most of all... a great cat that can appeal to a wide variety of judges. Our breed has celebrated twenty seven National Winning cats and twenty eight national wins over the years. Emau proudly lays claim to thirteen of those special cats and SIXTEEN of those amazing wins including an amazing accomplishment for the breed -

GC NW Emau's Speechless Of Emauge - "Aspen" heart thief. miracle baby, born show cat.... the joyous, happy resilient Aspen was a sight to behold in the show hall. Her start in life was rocky, but she never let it slow her down... She hit the ground running and easily brought home a National Win as CFA's 7th Best Kitten.
2022/2023
GC NW Emau's Holding Out For A Hero Of Emauge - "Hero" Cheerful joy and sweetness all rolled up in an incredibly elegant boy... Just a joy to handle, a joy to show and a joy to know. Despite being shown only sparingly Hero coasted into a National Win as CFA's 14th Best Kitten.
GC NW Emau's Learning To Fly Of D'otz - "Birdie" Opinionated, mouthy and incredibly edgy, this lovely smoke daughter of Lisbon rose to the top in an incredibly competitive year for the breed and became the second smoke female to earn a NW title as CFA's 6th Best Kitten.
GP NW Emau's Living On A Prayer Of D'otz - "Kanja". Kanja started his career right as the Pandemic hit with Tim. Despite only making it to a few shows he earned a kitten win and then moved onto his career as a stud boy with Kathryn. He was neutered at the end of the 2022 season and came to live with Caroline where together they made an incredible team. She granded him and never looked back. He retired early and went to his forever home after locking up a NW as CFA's 21st Best Cat in Premiership.
GP NW Emau's Singing The Delta Blues - "Cash" Cash and his half brother, Memphis went to live with new exhibitor Jen... All we asked for was for them to grand and for Jen to have fun... Well, fun she had - the first season she granded both boys and then started out with Cash as a GP. He started out extremely well with blackline shows and things were going great until he decided to save a toy from his "brother" by swallowing it. He lost three months and most people would have given up. Nope, Jen brought him back out and slowly but surely started climbing back up the ranks. The intrepid team ended up as CFA's 14th Best Cat in Premiership
2020/2021
GC NW Emau's Who's That Girl? Of Emauge - "Vienna" affectionately dubbed "the Punk", the stunningly gorgeous Vienna came to the showring with an attitude and a presence. Bred like royalty with the lovely Dior her mother and edgy Ru as her father she was the repeat of the incredible litter that pair produced during the COVID lockdown. Despite herself the lovely Vienna earned top honors as CFA's 20th Best Kitten in an incredibly competitive year.
2018/2019
GC BW NW Emau's Like A Prayer Of Emauge - "Ru" in life there are defining moments. In breeding you find that there are Breed Defining cats. Ru is one of those cats. Extreme in every way, he did things his way and with the help of his devoted human, Tim, he became not only Best of Breed, but CFA's 13th Best cat in the same year that his daughter, GC NW Maujik's Champagne For One (Of Burnbrae) became a national winner. He is also a fourth generation NW and the third Smoke to earn a National win.
2017/2018
GC BW NW Emau's I Candy Of Emauge, DM - "Sumo" Does it again... but she proves supermoms can do it all... She delivered and raised a litter of seven boys, then went out on the campaign trail with her sons, Apollo, Faracci and Houdini and while they were earning their grand titles and in the case of Faracci, the coveted NW title, she earned her very own Breed win and second NW as CFA's 20th Best Cat (1-9)... Unprecedented indeed and the first time ever a mother and son earned NW titles in the same season...
2016/2017
GC NW Emau's I Candy Of Emauge - "Sumo" became the first ever 5th generation National winner for the breed. She was the third Emau kitten to earn Best kitten honors in the Southern Region and ended up 4th Best Kitten in CFA.
2015/2016
GC BW NW Emau's Strike A Pose Of Emauge - "Jade" continued the tradtion of consistent quality by becoming a third generation National winner. She just missed a National Kitten win, but went on to become the highest ranked National winning Egyptian Mau in Championship ever. She also earned the first Best Cat Regionally for both Emau and Emauge... Jade was 9th Best Cat in CFA, Best Egyptian Mau, Southern Region's Best Cat and 4th Best Kitten.
2012/2013
GC BW NW Emau's Diamond R Forever Of Emauge - "Dreamy" lays claim to a very special accomplishment for a breeder. She is the first ever THIRD generation National winner. As CFA's 6th Best Kitten and Southern Region 2nd Best Kitten she also became the third highest scoring Egyptian Mau Kitten all-time under her grandparents Dell and Minuet. Dreamy is the kind of cat you dream of when you start to breed... special from the very start she was fostered by her grandmother Minuet, raised and loved by Minuet's owners Jim and Marie and then lovingly shown by Pat and Tim...
GC GP NW Emau's Dancin InThe Dark Of Mautrix, DM - The master of making history and achieving breed defining firsts, "Dell" took the penultimate piece of history in his encore run. In adding the title of CFA's 11th Best Cat in Premiership to the title of 2008/2009 Best Kitten and 24th Best cat he became not only the third ever shorthair to earn a National win in all three competitive categories, but the only DM to earn the honor in CFA history.
2011/2012
GC BW NW Emau's So You Think You Can Dance (Of Emauge) - "Tyce" is the first National winner out of two national winning parents and he more than lived up to his royal pedigree. Lovingly and skillfully shown for just part of the year by Tim of Emauge, he was a perfect ambassador for the breed. Despite being shown for only part of the Season Tyce was CFA's 16th Best Cat, S.R. Third Best Cat and National Best of Breed. Tyce was the perfect gentleman, a sensitive loving boy with lovely balance and a great disposition.
2009/2010
GC BW NW Emau's Shoot The Moon - "Sol" is a repeat of the lovely Lark and the second National Winning kitten for mother Sunny. His show career was the kind legends are made of and he did immeasurable good for his breed as an ambassador extraordinaire. He was the kind of cat who makes everyone smile and he loved being in the showring... A sweet, easygoing but sensitive boy, he lived for approval and a smile and a kiss was all it took to motivate him... A far cry from toy crazy older sister, Lark or ME oriented uncle Dell... He purred and bumped and loved his way into many a judges heart as well as mine. Despite missing most of the high count kitten shows due to my judging schedule, he managed to end up CFA's 14th Best Kitten which made him the second ever second generation National Winner. Sol ended up 4th Best Kitten and Cat in the Southern Region as well as our national and regional best of Breed. He left for Norway the Monday after the end of the season and took a piece of my heart with him...
2008/2009
GC BW NW Emau's Touch The Sun - "Lark" started the season as a champion showing against her flashy littermate, one show grand GC Emau's Moment In The Sun, "Summer". Summer may have been the early star, but Lark quickly made it obvious early on that she was the one that belonged in the showring... One of those rare cats that lights up for the judges, as soon as she passed her sister, she led wire to wire as our best of breed and despite the fact that she missed a number of weeks due to my judge training schedule, secured her NW title by the beginning on January at which point, she stayed home to leave the road open for her flashy housemate, Dell... Lark was 6th Best cat in CFA when she was pulled, she ended up CFA's 20th best cat. In so doing she became something very special for my breeding program - our breed's first second generation National Winner and a third generation National Best of Breed winner...
GC NW Emau's Dancin Inthe Dark Of Mautrix "Dell" took our breed to a whole new level. Under the superb guidance of co-breeder/owner, Laurie, he vaulted to Best Kitten in CFA and never looked back. As a young adult, Laurie helped him become the first ever smoke one show GC and then handed him over to me to show as a big boy. He sat home while Lark made sure that her win was secure and then in January with 3 and a half months to go, decided to take a run at an adult campaign. Two weekends before the end of the season he moved in to the top 25 at number 24 and amazingly, held on to become CFA's 24th Best Cat as well as Kitten of the Year and 2nd Best of breed nationally as well as our first smoke National winner and highest scoring Egyptian Mau kitten ever. Highlights of his career? So many to choose from, but without a doubt - Highest scoring Kitten out of 189 at National Capital and the last final I ever saw him in where he was made Best Cat and stood looking out at the crowd like he owned the world...
2007/2008
GC BW NW Emau's Minuet - "Minuet" was the only kitten out 157 present and competing to make all 8 finals at National Capital and she ended up second highest scoring kitten there... On September 30, 2007 she rose to the top of the kitten charts and held the number one position for three full months. She ended the season ranked 6th Best kitten in CFA and Best kitten in the Southern Region. She sure enjoyed her moment in the sun... As an adult despite hitting the ground late in the season, Minuet ended up Best of Breed nationally, and 16th Best Cat in the Southern Region.
2006/2007
GC BW NW Emau's Drop Of Golden Sun, DM - "Sunny", who was known for her sunny disposition and her uncanny resemblance to her lovely mother, GC BW RW Emau's Mau Pounce For The Ounce, DM, Was Southern Region's 3rd best Cat and CFA's 22nd Best cat nationally as well as CFA's 4th highest scoring Egyptian Mau all-time. She brought back goosebumps and chills for me and I am unbelievably grateful to have had the experience of showing such an incredible beauty. There is no greater joy than waking in morning to the sight of her beautiful face... Cats like her are why I breed and why I entered the judging program.

Our kids can go the distance in the showring as well as in a breeding program; in addition to having more CFA Egyptian Mau grands than any other cattery in CFA history, we have Eight beautiful cats in the top 15 all-time highest scoring Egyptian Maus in Championship and four in the top ten.

S.R. 3rd Best Cat: GC BW NW Emau's Drop-Of-Golden Sun, DM AKA "Sunny" and Calamity Jane. Sunny had a number of disasters befall her during her year long campaign, but she shone through it all and came out one of the top cats in CFA at the end of the day. Her mother's daughter, through and through, her lovely eyes and incredible intelligence made her a challenge and a joy... We will not say that it was easy getting that first National Win, but we can say with certitude that it was incredibly rewarding and that we are both incredibly proud of Sunny and very grateful to all of her supporters.
