I often describe Pounce as the Cindy Crawford of Maus - absolutely NOT fair to be so gorgeous at all stages, even pregnant... But she was all the way through pregnancy; drop dead gorgeous. So gorgeous in fact that as she was weaning the babies I gave into my heart, pulled her away from her 11 week old babies and drove her all the way to Kansas City to compete at the International! Not only did she end up Best Egyptian Mau in Championship against a lovely crew of Silver Mau Grands, BUT she ended up 26th Best cat in show!!! Pretty amazing for a just nursing mother! How many people do you know can go out and clean up in a beauty pageant right after giving birth? It was unbelievable.
Pounce Pregnant though was nearly as nerve wracking for me as Pounce in the show ring... But we survived! Pounce was fine... I was a basket case! But when all was said and done, she handled everything like an old pro and was not only a fabulous mother, but a stunning one as well... first litter - Four big, healthy bouncy baby... you guessed it - BOYS... Unbelievable! Three silvers and one of the nicest smokes I have had... They are one of the most content crew of babies I have ever had as well - but then who wouldn't be? Pounce has redefined "milk truck"!
